About me:

Jeanette Luchese-Jacobs is an honour graduate of the Advance Fine Art Program, SDVA Georgian College, where she received the SDVA Excellence in Studio Award in 2008, and 2009, and an honour graduate of Sheridan College, Graphic Arts. A resident of Innisfil, Ontario, Jeanette is a professional visual and graphic artist currently trying to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts through Thompson Rivers University.

As an art instructor, Jeanette encourages students to explore and experiment with an emphasis on choice, fostering confidence through new ways of thinking and creating art: designing projects based on experimentation, collaboration, and abstraction that include exercises in painting, printmaking and more.

Art can be seen as a very basic form of communication, it can be very soft spoken or extremely loud and verbal, but always honest. It is the honesty within the diary of actions that fuel my passions in creating, as life, layered.

The Innisfil Studio Tour, it was a wonderful two days visiting and seeing lots of art in and around this end of Innisfil, congrats to all involved. Mary and I where extremely busy and it was great to meet the new people to the area.

Next up is the Around the Corner Studio tour in Cookstown, coming up this weekend. Nov 9th and 10th.

Hey Jeanette, everything working okay? No member activity, other than me, in some time. Just wondering, Lisa. Beautiful weather, eh? Had the last two days off, pick good ones. Take care.

Hi John, sounds like a great idea,"ontario artists", your right marketing your art is key for artists today. The Linkedin [http://www.linkedin.com/profile?viewProfile=&key=49685814&locale=en_US&trk=tab_pro] profile is a really good way to get traffic, as well as find other art groups, here is my profile on linked in, might have to sign-up [free]. Do you have any exhibitions coming up? I put an call for art on the new group "Art Marketing" you might want to check out. As well akimbo.ca is a great resource for getting in email notifications of Artist Calls etc...

J, Thanks for the kind compliments. Another art shop is www.fineartamerica.com . I'm about to start one for Ontario artisans, complete with shopping cart and all. Each artist ships there own art from their own computer studio /home. It will be a while, in the meantime, each network increases the size of your web and chances for the spiders to catch your art.
